This Privacy Policy explains what information MemorySpark ("the app," "we," "us") collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. MemorySpark is a flashcard and language-learning app published by Idea Solutions.
We don't sell your personal information. We do share limited data with the following services, each of which processes it under their own privacy policy, to provide specific features:
| Service | What it's used for | What's shared |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Account sign-in, database, file storage, server functions, push notifications, hosting | All account and app-content data described above |
| OpenAI | Generating AI images for flashcards | The text prompt you write for the image; OpenAI does not receive your account identity |
| Google Cloud Translate | Translating words/phrases | The text being translated |
| RevenueCat | Managing subscriptions and purchases across app stores | Purchase receipts and your subscription status |
| Google AdMob | Showing rewarded video ads to free-tier users | Advertising identifier (iOS: only with your permission), device/app info standard to mobile ad serving |
| Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple | Social sign-in, if you choose it | Handled directly between your device and Google/Apple; we receive only your name and email |
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MemorySpark or our users.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Account settings), which permanently removes your profile, decks, cards, and study history from our systems. Some records — such as purchase receipts — may be retained separately by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat under their own retention rules, and residual copies may persist briefly in backups before being purged.
MemorySpark is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Our service providers may process and store data in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using the app, you consent to this transfer, in accordance with this policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about this policy or your data? Email us at phpdevelopmentca@gmail.com, or reach us through the app's Account screen (Contact Support), which generates an 8-digit support code. We rely on this code rather than your email to identify your account — not every account has a usable email on file (Apple sign-in doesn't always provide one), so the code is the one identifier we can count on across every sign-in method.
